Sampletank is great at accomplishing one thing, playing it's proprietary patches, some of which I'm sure sound lovely. Incredibly stable as Rewire slave in ProTools 6.1 One of the better native reverbs out there (RV7000 in 2.5 that is, let's be specific here)Ī new Distressor-type module (Scream4) which narrows the gap between merely putting ideas down and actually completing an entire piece in Reasonįilters, delays, fully automatable parameters on any instrument or effect, only with a few mouse clicks.Įxtremely intuitive sequencer (some will argue but sorry, it doesn't get any easier than this) The interface is tolerable, but that's about it.Ģ sampler modules which can load any wav/aif/sounfont/AKAI samples (the NN-XT dances around Sampletank, IMO)Ģ synths with plenty of character to go 'round I can only judge ST by what I've heard so far and imo, the sounds are good, no more and no less, though I haven't heard the entire library. Sure, the forthcoming ST2 seemingly offers many more features, but that's another story.

Sampletank is a sample player, or sample playback module - load your ST made instruments in and play away.
